Hoping all Fanatics had a great and safe Labor Day weekend.
Had weekend free play from both of my locals and took advantage of it.
Met a great guy while playing Lightning Links on Saturday at the Sands and we compared many war stories on our Lightning Link adventures, and both of us came out on the + side in $$ for the outing.
Showed him a photo of my recent $ 6,880 win on Lock it Link, and my 6 Majors , 3 of which happened on the machine he was playing. He smiled and took out his phone and showed me a photo of a win he had which I've not seen. It was a photo of the Lightning Link High Stakes screen with ' Random Award Winner - Major Jackpot- $ 983.77' showing.
Bang !! The screen went dark while he was playing and when it came back that was what appeared. And, it was on his Birthday , in April, at Mt.Airy Casino in the Poconos.
It gets better, but hold on. He's a regular at Mt.Airy, with special promotions received for August -September from the Sands. I'm a regular at the Sands with special promotions from Mt.Airy for the same time span. We decide to meet at Mt.Airy on Sunday morning as we both have Super Bonus free play.
Next morning we meet at Mt.Airy and he introduces me to his wife, who also has a Super Free Play for this morning. He says to her, ' Go Ahead and show him'.. She takes her phone out of her purse and shows me a photo of her win here on Lightning Link - Heart Throb. Same exact thing, ' Random Award Winner - Major Jackpot - $ 889.60 '. And, she hit it on her birthday in July , also at Mt.Airy !!
Guess where I'll be on my birthday... We went and had coffee at Starbucks, downstairs, and then went our separate ways, but not before I got their commitment to sign up for Slot Fanatics which they were eager to do.

Has anyone else seen, heard of, or experienced a Random Event on the Lightning ? Looked on You Tube but couldn't find any posted.

I'm limited at my local to just 2 variations, High Stakes ( My Go to weekly ), and Happy Lantern.

A while ago my Daughter got what we call a ' Hat Trick ', getting a Mini, a Minor, and a Major, all together in a Lightning Round.
I've found $.50 x 2 , and $ 1.50 x 1 wagers to be my ' sweet spots ' for coaxing out the Lightning Strikes .
I'm convinced that always trying to play the machine with the highest posted MAJOR jackpot has helped me win it 6 times now.
